BC Parks Senior Ranger: Do you have what it takes?

BC Parks will be hiring 28 permanent full-time senior rangers across the province. Will you be one of them?

We are looking for the right candidates to perform some of the most demanding, but rewarding jobs, that the Natural Resource Sector has to offer.

What would a typical week look like as senior ranger?

As a senior ranger you could be working with a group of dedicated volunteers, hiking a ridge to perform ecological monitoring, inspecting campsites, accessing remote parks by ATV or snowmobile, checking hunters for valid licenses, working with your ranger staff on building a bridge in the remote backcountry, compiling data and statistics on park issues, or a host of other responsibilities and tasks.

There is never a dull day as a BC Parks senior ranger!

We are seeing applicants who:

  • Are committed to protecting one of BC’s most valuable resources
  • Meet the education/ employment background requirements
  • Can comfortably work in a team environment, but also excel working independently
  • Have a keen sense of adventure

If this sounds like a position you would be interested in, check out the web posting for more details and how to apply: https://search.employment.gov.bc.ca/cgi-bin/a/highlightjob.cgi?jobid=39518

Deadline for applications is 11:59pm PDT on April 10, 2017
