The B.C. government is committed to making real and meaningful improvements to its information management practices. This includes looking at ways to improve the Freedom of Information process and enhancing privacy protection to safeguard your personal information.
We invited your ideas on how government can improve access to information while continuing to maintain rigorous protections of your personal information.
There were several ways you may participate:

- Interested organizations and individuals could make a written submission
Feedback was accepted between February 26, 2018 and April 9, 2018 at 4 P.M.
How can my contribution make a difference?
This data, along with other sources of information such as past Special Committee and Commissioner’s reports, will inform a report by the Minister of Citizens’ Services that will detail specific actions that will help shape improvements to policy, practice, education and awareness, regulation and legislation.
A summary report that details comments and feedback submitted will be posted following the close of the public engagement.
