AuRico Metals Inc. is proposing to develop and operate the Kemess Underground Project (proposed Project), an underground copper-gold mine, located approximately 250 kilometres north of Smithers in north-central British Columbia. The proposed Project would process approximately 24,650 tonnes of ore per day over a 13-year mine life.

How can my contribution make a difference?

The intention of seeking public comments was to ensure that all potential effects – environmental, economic, social, heritage and health – that might result from the proposed Project are identified for consideration as part of the assessment process, and all comments received during this period in relation to the Application will be considered.
