What is this engagement about?
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure invites public feedback as part of a three-year transportation planning study for the Central Okanagan.
This study is exploring future mobility needs, including route options for a future second crossing of Okanagan Lake.
The ministry will consider input from this engagement along with input from local governments, First Nations, environmental stakeholder groups and other stakeholder groups.
Citizens were invited to participate in public open houses in Lake Country, Kelowna and West Kelowna to view and comment on preliminary options. The options, which are posted on the engagement website, were developed by reviewing existing and future conditions on the corridor, as well as considering public feedback received through earlier phases of engagement.
How can my contribution make a difference?
All of the phases as part of this project will help government as it works to develop the full picture of transportation needs and solutions, both for the short term and for the longer term.
