Our CleanBC plan puts the province on the path to a better future for ourselves, our children and grandchildren, and engaging British Columbians on ways to make active transportation options more convenient and affordable is important to this government. That’s why we worked in partnership with communities to learn how we can make all forms of active transportation, whether it’s walking, cycling, or other mode, convenient for people of all ages and abilities. Together, we can make communities more livable with CleanBC investments that will change how we live, work, and get around – making life better and more affordable while reducing our carbon footprint.
During March and April, the public was invited to participate in the online discussion forum about active transportation. In addition to the online discussion, there were conversations with local planners, Indigenous communities and a formal stakeholder submission process. We thank everyone for sharing their knowledge and we look forward to taking all the results and introducing a final approach that will be made publicly available.
