From October 19 to November 30, 2016 the Province of British Columbia asked for your thoughts on new ways to support species at risk protection in the province. The Province was seeking input from a cross-section of British Columbians, including the public, First Nations, local governments, non-governmental organizations and industry.

The engagement in 2016 focused on identifying innovative and long-term solutions around: the protection and recovery of species at risk; options for stewardship and voluntary species at risk protection and recovery on all lands; and balancing the need to conserve ecological diversity and protect species at risk while supporting the maintenance of a vibrant natural resource economy.
