autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Help shape what child and youth well-being looks like in B.C.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Many children, youth, and families interact with multiple services and supports \u2013 but those supports don\u2019t always connect or work together in ways that reflect real-life needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/app\/uploads\/sites\/121\/2026\/06\/CYWB-Action-Plan.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Child and Youth Well-Being Action Plan (PDF, 8 MB)<\/a> and <span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><a href=\"https:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/app\/uploads\/sites\/121\/2026\/06\/CYWB-Outcomes-Framework.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Outcomes Framework (PDF, 3.5 MB)<\/a><\/span> are part of a long-term effort to improve how systems work together across BC to support children and families \u2013 including how services like health, education, and community supports connect in practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To help guide this work, the plan focuses on five priority areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-engagement-section\" style=\"margin-left:0%;margin-right:0%\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-bcgov-card-container lg-break-3\" id=\"card-container-175e592a-816b-4da8-8067-9d893431c555\" style=\"background-color:transparent\">\n<li class=\"wp-block-bcgov-card align-none\" style=\"background-color:transparent;color:inherit\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Safe, Strong, and Healthy Foundation for Families<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ensuring families have access to the basics they need to thrive &#8211; like food, housing, income stability, child care, and early supports &#8211; so children can grow up safe and supported.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-bcgov-card align-none\" style=\"background-color:transparent;color:inherit\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Preventing and Responding to Intimate Partner, Gender-Based, and Family Violence<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Creating safety and support for those impacted by violence, while also working to prevent violence before it begins.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-bcgov-card align-none\" style=\"background-color:transparent;color:inherit\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Integrated Services and Crisis Response<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Improving how services work together across systems so that children, youth, and families experience coordinated, connected support &#8211; especially during times of crisis.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-bcgov-card align-none\" style=\"background-color:transparent;color:inherit\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Advancing Indigenous Self-Determination and Jurisdiction<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Supporting Indigenous communities to lead and deliver services grounded in their own knowledge, cultures, and governance.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"wp-block-bcgov-card align-none\" style=\"background-color:transparent;color:inherit\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Protecting and Uplifting the Most Vulnerable<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Ensuring that children and youth who are most at risk &#8211; including those in care or involved with multiple systems \u2013 are safe, supported, and connected to opportunities.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Who should participate<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This engagement is about sharing information on this work and gathering feedback on people\u2019s experiences within these systems. We welcome everyone to learn more about the Action Plan and Outcomes Framework and contribute your ideas.
