{"id":4748,"date":"2019-09-18T17:39:05","date_gmt":"2019-09-18T17:39:05","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/columbiarivertreaty\/?page_id=4748"},"modified":"2020-07-29T22:45:52","modified_gmt":"2020-07-29T22:45:52","slug":"2019-community-meetings","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/columbiarivertreaty\/2019-community-meetings\/","title":{"rendered":"2019 Community Meetings"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In October and November 2019, the B.C. government hosted a series of 12 community meetings throughout the Canadian Columbia Basin, to update residents on Columbia River Treaty negotiations, and seek input on work being done to address community interests related to the Treaty. Each meeting featured presentations on the current Canada-U.S. Treaty negotiations, Indigenous Nations-led work to address ecosystems and salmon reintroduction in the upper Columbia Basin, and work the Province is doing to address other key community interests. These sessions followed a <a href=\"https:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/columbiarivertreaty\/2018-community-meetings\/\">series of meetings held in 2018<\/a> across the B.C.
