Those interested in joining this diverse, basin-wide group to help inform potential future improvements to the Columbia River Treaty and domestic hydroelectric operations in the Columbia Basin are invited to apply by November 30, 2023. Applicants are strongly encouraged to read the <a href=\"https:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/app\/uploads\/sites\/6\/2023\/09\/CBRAC-Terms-of-Reference-and-Code-of-Conduct_Apr24_2023.pdf\">CBRAC Terms of Reference<\/a> before applying.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>How to Apply<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Submit a one-to-two-page expression of interest <strong>before 11:59 p.m. local time<\/strong> <strong>on Thursday, November 30, 2023<\/strong>, explaining how you meet the following criteria:<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Lives in the Lower Columbia region of B.C. (e.g. in Trail, Genelle, Warfield)<\/li>\n<li>Has knowledge of and\/or experience working on Columbia Basin and Basin-related interests.<\/li>\n<li>Is able to work collaboratively in a group setting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Preference may be given to applicants with<\/strong>:<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>Broad knowledge of, and\/or experience working on, hydroelectric operations.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of the Columbia River Treaty.<\/li>\n<li>Previous participation in Columbia River Treaty related activities, such as attending public meetings, forums or conferences, and providing feedback on Treaty-related reports or projects.<\/li>\n<li>Recognized in Columbia Basin communities as knowledgeable in one or more key areas of Columbia River Treaty related interests identified by Basin residents, including environmental impacts and enhancement, salmon restoration, flood risk management, hydropower generation, agriculture, recreation, tourism, and economic development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Submissions can be emailed to <a href=\"mailto:olumbiarivertreaty@gov.bc.ca\">columbiarivertreaty@gov.bc.ca<\/a>, or mailed to:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 40px\">Geoff Gosson, Project and Communications Coordinator<br \/>\nColumbia River Treaty<br \/>\nMinistry of Energy, Mines and Low Carbon Innovation<br \/>\nPO Box 9314 Stn Prov Govt, Victoria, B.C.
