2017 Provincial General Election Statement of Votes Released

Elections BC recently published the Statement of Votes for the 2017 Provincial General Election in the BC Data Catalogue. The Statement of Votes is the final, historical record of the election’s results, and includes registered voter counts for each of the province’s voting areas and a breakdown of absentee ballots cast by section of the Election Act.

Using the BC Data Catalogue to host the data, released to the public under the Elections BC Open Data License, ensures that the data is readily available in digital format for use by anyone, and that it can be used for virtually any lawful purpose in accordance with the terms set out therein.  This is just one of the ways that DataBC helps Elections BC staff manage logistics before, during, and after an election.
