What is this engagement about?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Province is required to review and update the Declaration Act Action Plan (2022-2027)<\/a> to ensure continued alignment with the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UN Declaration)<\/a> and B.C.\u2019s Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples Act (Declaration Act)<\/a>, and to do so in consultation and co-operation with Indigenous Peoples. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This engagement is focused on reviewing the current action plan. The review will evaluate progress and highlight lessons learned. It will also help inform an updated action plan by the end of 2027. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
