The B.C. government is working in collaboration with Blueberry River First Nations and other interested Treaty 8 First Nations to update and amend the Fort St. John Land and Resource Management Plan (LRMP). This process will also involve local governments, industry, stakeholders and the general public.
Since the completion of the Fort St. John LRMP in 1997, Northeast B.C. has experienced significant growth.
We invited feedback from local communities, governments, industry, stakeholders and the general public to help determine the full extent of the Fort St. John LRMP amendment. Amending the Fort St. John LRMP will provide long-term land management direction for all land users.
The general public were given an opportunity to provide feedback on the first phase of the process through a brief online feedback form that was available until March 6, 2019.
Collected input is now being reviewed and will be reflected in the “What We Heard” report, available here in spring 2019.
Future opportunities for public feedback will be available later on in the update process.
