What was this engagement about?
British Columbians were asked to provide feedback on ways to make active transportation options more convenient and affordable in their community. The main purpose of this engagement was to learn how the Province can work in partnership with local governments to make all forms of active transportation, whether it’s walking, cycling, scootering or other mode, convenient for people of all ages and abilities.
Our government has a renewed focus on protecting our environment while making life better for people. The newly announced CleanBC plan puts our province on the path to a better future, and in the coming months the province will benefit from a new Active Transportation Strategy that will make active transportation easier and more attractive.
Over a two-month period, the public participated in the online discussion forum about active transportation. Over 1,800 comments were received.
The engagement was open until April 15, 2019 at 4pm.
How did my contribution make a difference?
People are at the centre of everything we do. Your valuable feedback will help make communities more livable and change how we live, work, and get around – making life better and more affordable while reducing our carbon footprint.
All feedback received will result in a What We Heard Report that will be made publicly available.
