Arrow Timber Supply Review

What was this engagement about?

The Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations invited feedback as part of the timber supply review process for the Arrow Timber Supply Area (TSA). The Arrow TSA located in the West Kootenay area of south-eastern British Columbia, includes the communities of Rossland, Trail, Castlegar, Slocan, New Denver and Nakusp.
The Chief Forester considers information from the public as part of the process in determining a new allowable annual cut – the annual maximum amount of timber that can be harvested – for the timber supply area. The current AAC in effect since December 2011 is 513,700 cubic metres.

How can my contribution make a difference?

Public input is a vital part of the timber supply review process.  A discussion paper was released on September 21, 2016.  Feedback was welcome on any issue related to the timber supply review for the Arrow TSA by email, until November 21, 2016.
