What is this engagement about?
Our CleanBC plan is a pathway to a more prosperous, balanced, and sustainable future. CleanBC includes significant actions to reduce carbon pollution, use our clean energy to power B.C.’s economy, and create opportunities across the province.
We are seeking input over the next year on initiatives that get us to our climate goals. Together, in collaboration with Indigenous peoples, we will work to build more resilient communities, where everyone benefits from a cleaner future.
Participate in one of 4 Climate BC telephone town halls to be held in March 2019.
A telephone town hall is an interactive conference call. The telephone town hall is an opportunity to learn more and comment on how the Province will make things better and more affordable for people while reducing pollution and protecting the environment.
You will also have an opportunity to ask the Minister of the Environment and Climate Change George Heyman and guests questions and you can give your opinion on different aspects of the plan by responding to polling questions.
Each telephone town hall will have regionally specific content and examples. All times are Pacific time, with closed captioning available:
- March 6, 2019: 7:00 to 8:30 pm (PST) for the Lower Mainland and Southwestern B.C.
- March 13, 2019: 7:00 to 8:30 pm (PST) for the Kootenays, the Interior and Northern B.C.
- March 25, 2019: 7:00 to 8:30 pm (PST) for Vancouver Island and communities throughout the coast.
- March 27, 2019: 7:00 to 8:30 pm (PST) for the Lower Mainland and Southwestern B.C.
A separate link to follow closed captioning online will be sent to participants who choose that option when they register.
