What is this engagement about?
The Government of British Columbia, the Government of Canada, and the District of North Vancouver are partnering in the design, and construction of new and improved interchanges along the Lower Lynn portion of Highway 1. The Highway 1/Lower Lynn Improvements will be completed in four phases, to improve safety and reduce congestion.
Open houses and comment periods were held in January 2016 and February 2017. There will be further opportunities to provide input on the Highway 1 – Lower Lynn Improvements throughout the project. Read about the previous engagements here.
Since the public information sessions last year, construction of the new Mountain Highway Interchange has been underway. At the upcoming information sessions, design plans will be on display for the Lynn Creek Connectivity Improvements and the Keith Road/Seymour Parkway Interchange projects. The ministry will also show concept refinements for the new Main Street/Dollarton Highway Interchange.
Members of the public were invited to attend two information sessions in North Vancouver about the Highway 1/Lower Lynn Improvements Project. Ministry staff were at the open houses to answer questions and receive feedback.
If you were unable to attend the sessions but still want to learn about the project, all materials are available here.
Feedback was gathered on how you want to stay informed throughout the construction and planning process until May 9, 2018.
How can my contribution make a difference?
The feedback received at these information sessions will help inform the ministry as it moves forward with design and construction.
