What is this engagement about?
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure is inviting the public to provide feedback on short, medium and long-term options to improve the Highway 97 corridor through Quesnel.
In April 2017, an open house was held to provide results from Phase 1 of the study and the public was invited to provide input for exploring options in Phase 2. Community Engagement Summary Report QTP.
Due to weather a make-up public information session is scheduled for February 19, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Quesnel and District Seniors’ Community Centre, 461 Carson Ave. Quesnel, B.C. Anyone wanting more information about the project is welcome to attend and provide feedback. An online feedback form will also be available from February 7 – 21, 2018.
Ministry staff will be at the open house to answer questions and collect input for the Quesnel Transportation Plan, which is nearing completion. The ministry will also provide information on plans to reconfigure the laning on part of Front Street to increase safety and improve traffic flow through the community.
If you are unable to attend but still want to provide feedback, all open house materials are posted here.
How can my contribution make a difference?
The feedback received at this open house will help inform the ministry before the Quesnel Transportation Plan study is finalized.
A summary report which details all the comments and feedback submitted from stakeholders will be posted to the site following public engagement. Please check back to review the summary report when posted.
