What is this engagement about?
B.C. is working on a clean growth strategy to integrate the province’s goals for climate action, clean energy and sustainable economic growth. This will build a cleaner, healthier province with opportunities and jobs. The strategy will be released in the fall of 2018.
To begin developing the strategy, we are looking for input on the first set of intentions papers, proposing actions in three important areas – transportation, buildings, and clean growth for industry. More consultations on priority areas will follow in the future.
You can participate in the following ways:
- Read the intentions papers on 3 topics
- Participate in the online discussions that relate to the intentions papers
- Individuals and organizations can submit a written submission – view submission criteria
Written submissions meeting the posting criteria may be posted publicly and online comments will be summarized in a final report.
Feedback will be accepted until August 24, 2018 at 4PM.
How can my contribution make a difference?
Public engagement on the first set of intentions papers will inform our new strategy. B.C.’s clean growth strategy will outline the province’s vision for creating a sustainable clean growth future.
By integrating our work on economic, climate and energy issues – and engaging with British Columbians as we do so – we will maximize the benefits for all and reduce emissions further across all economic sectors.
