{"id":20018,"date":"2018-07-24T15:28:30","date_gmt":"2018-07-24T22:28:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/govtogetherbc\/?post_type=impact&#038;p=20018"},"modified":"2023-03-24T13:35:12","modified_gmt":"2023-03-24T20:35:12","slug":"commercial-vehicle-industry-results","status":"publish","type":"engagement","link":"https:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/govtogetherbc\/engagement\/commercial-vehicle-industry-results\/","title":{"rendered":"Commercial Vehicle Industry"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"wp-block-post-title\">Commercial Vehicle Industry<\/h1>\n\n<h2><strong>Engagement Summary<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In recent years, a growing number of extreme weather events have resulted in traffic incidents and closures on some of our interior highways, particularly involving commercial vehicles.<br>\n&nbsp;<br>\nThe ministry has heard from the public and industry that more needs to be done to ensure all road users can travel our highways during the winter with confidence, knowing they will arrive safely and on time.<br>\nAn online questionnaire was available for feedback on the Winter Preparation Enhancements (see below).<br>\n&nbsp;<br>\nIn April the ministry announced several enhancements to winter maintenance and preparation, which will be implemented this coming winter.
