Kamloops to Alberta program involves four-laning and other improvements along Highway 1 in west Salmon Arm, including intersection upgrades and construction of new frontage roads.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/transportation-projects\/highway1-kamloops-alberta\/salmon-arm-west\/salmon-arm-west-1st-to-10th\">Salmon Arm West &#8211; 1st Ave. SW to 10th Ave. SW<\/a><br>This portion of the Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta program involves widening a 2.2 km section of highway to four lanes from 1st Ave. SW to 10th Ave. SW in Salmon Arm.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/transportation-projects\/highway1-kamloops-alberta\/salmon-arm-west\/salmon-arm-west-10th-to-10th\">Salmon Arm West &#8211; 10th Ave. SW to 10th St. SW<\/a><br>This portion of the Highway 1 Kamloops to Alberta program involves widening 1.0&nbsp;kilometres of highway from&nbsp;two to four lanes&nbsp;between 10th Ave SW and 10th Street SW in Salmon Arm.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An open house was held on November 28, 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On March 29, 2021, the ministry held a virtual public hearing about a 0.2-hectare land exclusion. It was proposed to be excluded from the Agricultural Land Reserve and consolidated with Lot 7 Plan 27888 Section 16 Township 20 Range 10 W6M KDYD.
