Here in B.C. we can do our part to change this, and we want your thoughts and ideas. The purpose of this engagement was to gather feedback from all British Columbians, and continue on the path forward to reduce plastic pollution in B.C.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/app\/uploads\/sites\/121\/2020\/09\/CleanBC_PlasticsActionPlan_ConsultationPaper.pdf\">Policy Consultation Paper<\/a>&nbsp;to learn more about the solutions being considered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Feedback was accepted in the following ways:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>An online public survey<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Formal submissions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emailed comments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mailed-in comments<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:33.33%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"results\">Results<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>35,611 survey responses received.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>129 formal submissions received from local. governments, stakeholders, Indigenous communities, and internal stakeholders<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>131 email comments received from citizens<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>15 long form submissions received from citizens<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Public feedback will be considered as part of developing a new regulatory framework that will be developed for plastic waste.
