{"id":26851,"date":"2019-06-11T15:22:28","date_gmt":"2019-06-11T22:22:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/govtogetherbc\/?post_type=impact&#038;p=26851"},"modified":"2023-03-09T15:22:32","modified_gmt":"2023-03-09T23:22:32","slug":"west-fraser-road-flood-recovery-results","status":"publish","type":"engagement","link":"https:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/govtogetherbc\/engagement\/west-fraser-road-flood-recovery-results\/","title":{"rendered":"West Fraser Road Flood Recovery"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 class=\"wp-block-post-title\">West Fraser Road Flood Recovery<\/h1>\n\n<h2><strong>Engagement Summary<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>In April 2018, high water levels from the spring freshet caused Narcosli Creek to erode five sections of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www2.gov.bc.ca\/gov\/content\/transportation\/transportation-infrastructure\/projects\/west-fraser-road-flood-recovery?keyword=west&amp;keyword=fraser&amp;keyword=road\"><u>West Fraser Road<\/u><\/a>, on the west side of the Fraser River, approximately 17 kilometres south of Quesnel.<br>\n&nbsp;<br>\nAbout 200 vehicles per day normally use West Fraser Road, which accesses First Nations communities, ranches, logging activities, farming lands and local residences.<br>\n&nbsp;<br>\nOn May 1, 2019, the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure invited the public to an open house to provide an update regarding the status of West Fraser Road.
