Summary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Forest and Range Practices Act (FRPA) governs sustainable management of B.C.&#8217;s public forest and range resources such as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Forest planning<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Road building<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reforestation<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Livestock grazing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It covers planning and practices that protect these resources and public safety. It also provides oversight for rights holders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Province sought feedback on these proposed changes that would increase local control and prioritize forest health. Communities, industries, organizations, and Indigenous Nations were encouraged to provide feedback based on a <a href=\"https:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/app\/uploads\/sites\/121\/2021\/11\/DISCUSSION_PAPER_FRPA_May-27.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">discussion paper<\/a>.
