What was this engagement about?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Terrane\u00a0 Metals Corp., a subsidiary of Thompson Creek Metals Company Inc., is in the construction phase of the Mt. Milligan project, a copper-gold project being developed near the communities of Fort St. James<\/a> and Mackenzie<\/a>. Terrane received an environmental assessment certificate in 2006 and recently sought to amend that certificate for two purposes:<\/p>\n

  1. To relocate the load-out facility in the previous Application from a site outside of Fort St. James to an industrial zone in Mackenzie;<\/li>\n
  2. To construct an operations camp on-site to house rotational workers and regional workers from beyond\u00a0 the\u00a0 Fort St. James Primary Local Study Area.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    How did my contribution make a difference?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

    The public was invited to comment on the Application for Amendment. The intention of seeking public comments is to ensure that all potential effects \u2013 environmental, economic, social, heritage and health \u2013 that might result from the Project are identified for consideration as part of the assessment process.
