is a&nbsp;180&nbsp;kilometre&nbsp;backcountry hiking experience&nbsp;from&nbsp;Sarah Point in Desolation Sound to&nbsp;Saltery&nbsp;Bay&nbsp;in Southwest British Columbia. The path&nbsp;weaves along the coast, passing through&nbsp;Tla\u2019amin&nbsp;Nation Treaty Land, Malaspina Park, Inland Lake Park, and land managed by Recreation Sites and Trails BC (RST&nbsp;BC) and&nbsp;is Canada\u2019s longest hut to hut hiking trail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;SCT has been experiencing increasing visitor use, which has increased most dramatically in the past five years. RSTBC&nbsp;and BC Parks are&nbsp;embarking on a proactive&nbsp;approach to create a Visitor Use Management Strategy (VUMS)&nbsp;that sets&nbsp;desired conditions for the area and&nbsp;outlines both&nbsp;long and short term&nbsp;management decisions for recreation access and infrastructure that align with those conditions.
