It will occur at key plan development phases to ensure local interests and priorities are identified and included in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Between November 2020 and February 2021, the sh\u00edsh\u00e1lh-B.C. <a href=\"https:\/\/planninginpartnership.ca\/p\/5ecc048fdbd33300255c3f35\/background-info\">Land Use Planning Table<\/a> hosted engagement activities to identify interests, concerns, and opportunities related to the land use planning process. This included focused workshops and a public questionnaire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/engage.gov.bc.ca\/app\/uploads\/sites\/121\/2025\/04\/20250416shishalh-BC-LUP-FAQs-1.pdf\" title=\"\">FAQs (PDF, 1MB)<\/a> for more background information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Phase 2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Studies have been done to better understand the status of values in the swiya. Current condition assessments for selected values have been completed (<a href=\"https:\/\/experience.arcgis.com\/experience\/fdf19e4868d048cea1d0adbfa39f6f92\">sh\u00edsh\u00e1lh-BC Land Use Plan &#8211; Current Condition Assessment &#8211; Main App<\/a>).&nbsp;sh\u00edsh\u00e1lh Nation community members, local governments, affected and interested parties, industry and the public are now being engaged to gather input on the assessment findings and preliminary considerations for planning.
