summary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>British Columbians were invited to share their views on how we should observe time in our province. Most areas in B.C. &#8220;spring forward&#8221; into daylight saving time (DST) during the summer months and &#8220;fall back&#8221; to standard time in the winter. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants were asked about continuing to change our clocks twice a year or adopting daylight saving time year-round. They were also asked about the importance of aligning time observance with neighbouring provinces, territories, and states. This was done to improve people&#8217;s overall health, reduce disruptions for families, simplify scheduling, and provide an extra hour of evening light during the winter months. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The transition will begin after the province \u201csprings forward\u201d&nbsp;on March 8, 2026, when clocks move ahead by one hour. This will be the final time change in British Columbia. Clocks would usually be turned back on November 1, but will now remain the same. At that point, the transition to the new time zone, Pacific time, will be complete.
