Current Engagement:

The Province is actively working with Indigenous groups, Metro Vancouver, municipalities, TransLink and key stakeholders as the George Massey Crossing Program projects advance.

Previous Engagement

The Ministry recently completed the early engagement process for an amendment to Environmental Assessment Certificate (EAC) # T17-01 on the George Massey Crossing Project. Feedback and comments on the proposed amendment were completed as of April 24, 2021 and the application has been submitted to the EAO.

Open houses were held in Richmond and Delta February 5-6, 2020.

Communities, stakeholders and the public were invited to learn more about:

  • Plans for the first stage of the crossing project, which will help alleviate congestion on either side of the existing tunnel; and
  • Results of work to date and next steps for selecting a preferred long-term solution.

Feedback forms were collected until February 26, 2020 at 4pm.

Corridor Improvements

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure invited the public to review and comment on proposed amendments to Environmental Assessment Certificate (EAC) # T17-01 issued under the BC Environmental Assessment Act in February 2017 as part of the George Massey Tunnel Replacement Project. The proposed amendments are required to:

  • Make minor alterations to the Certified Project Corridor.
  • Change the scope of what can be included in advance of construction.
