The Province is actively working with Indigenous groups, Metro Vancouver, municipalities, TransLink and key stakeholders as the Corridor Improvement projects advance.
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure invited the public to review and comment on proposed amendments to Environmental Assessment Certificate (EAC) # T17-01 issued under the BC Environmental Assessment Act in February 2017 as part of the George Massey Tunnel Replacement Project. The proposed amendments are required to:
- Make minor alterations to the Certified Project Corridor.
- Change the scope of what can be included in advance of construction.

Open houses were held in Richmond and Delta February 5-6, 2020.
Communities, stakeholders and the public were invited to learn more about:
- Plans for the first stage of the crossing project, which will help alleviate congestion on either side of the existing tunnel; and
- Results of work to date and next steps for selecting a preferred long-term solution.
