Community Benefits Agreement

Work on the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project will be done under the Community Benefits Agreement (CBA). The CBA will deliver good-paying jobs, better training and apprenticeships, and more trades opportunities for Indigenous people, women and youth around the province.

BC Infrastructure Benefits Inc.

BC Infrastructure Benefits Inc. (BCIB) is the new provincial Crown corporation created to implement the CBA. Workers on the Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project will be BCIB employees. BCIB will recruit, hire, support and pay workers on its projects. BCIB’s website will be available soon. In the meantime, interested workers can email BCIB at info@bcib.ca to learn more about registering for work opportunities.

 

Identified Indigenous Groups Business to Business Networking Event

The Province intends to coordinate a session with Proponent Teams and the Identified Indigenous Groups and their associated businesses to provide an opportunity for:

  • those businesses who might be interested in working with, or providing products and services to the Preferred Proponent, to meet the Proponent Teams; and
  • Proponent Teams to enhance their knowledge, understanding and awareness of local goods and services and to build relationships with the Identified Indigenous Groups and their associated businesses.

 

Business to Business Networking Event

The Province also intends to coordinate a session with Proponent Teams and local contractors, suppliers and businesses to provide an opportunity for:

  • local contractors, suppliers and businesses who might be interested in working with, or providing products and services to the Preferred Proponent, to meet the Proponent Teams; and
  • Proponent Teams to enhance their knowledge, understanding and awareness of local goods and services and to build relationships with local contractors, suppliers and businesses.
