Replacement options for the aging Pattullo Bridge have undergone broad and extensive review, and there have been multiple opportunities for public input during the Pattullo Bridge Review Process and the current Pattullo Bridge Replacement Project.

Phases of public engagement:

Since 2013, there were three rounds of public engagement led by TransLink.

Strategic Review (June 3 to 28, 2013)

Input was sought from residents, businesses, local and regional stakeholders, and bridge users about the Problem Statement of the Pattullo Bridge Review, the objectives, and the initial screening of 25 alternatives for rehabilitating or replacing the bridge.

Community Connections Phase 1 (June 13, to July 11, 2016)

Input was sought from residents, businesses, local and regional stakeholders, and bridge users about community connections, including road network improvements on both sides of the bridge in New Westminster and Surrey.

Community Connections Phase 2 (October 3 to 31, 2016)

Input was sought from residents, businesses, local and regional stakeholders, and bridge users about pedestrian and cyclist connections on both sides of the new bridge in Surrey and New Westminster.

Results of these engagements can be found here on the TransLink project page.
