The Residential Tenancy Act deals with the contract between rental housing providers and renters – the tenancy agreement. It aims to balance the rights and responsibilities of rental housing providers and renters.
The Tenancy Act outlines many specific rules and procedures for rental housing providers and renters to follow.
Manufactured Home Park Tenancy Act
The Manufactured Home Park Tenancy Act deals with home owners, renting a pad from a rental housing provider rather than renting the unit itself. Very similar to the Residential Tenancy Act but provides specific provisions that are related to these types of tenancies
- Park rules and committees
- Specific provisions that relate to moving the home
- Assigning tenancy agreements (park owner gets some say)
- New compensation provisions when parks close.
