The BC Rural Dividend provides $25 million a year to assist rural communities to reinvigorate and diversify their local economies. It was developed to recognize both the contribution rural communities have made to B.C.’s economy, and the unique challenges they face to diversify beyond natural resources.
Part of B.C.’s new Rural Development Strategy will be to improve the BC Rural Dividend program so that it serves rural and Indigenous communities in the most effective manner possible. Your input will help government identify areas for improvement and potential changes to the program so that great projects, that support the strength and sustainability of rural communities, continue to get funded.
