Who is this engagement for?
This engagement is for:
- Agri-food and seafood employers who employ or plan to employ temporary foreign workers and provide them with housing
- Settlement services organizations (SSOs) and advocacy groups that support agri-food and seafood temporary foreign workers living in employer-provided housing
How to participate
Questionnaire for employers
This questionnaire is for agri-food and seafood employers who currently employ or intend to employ temporary foreign workers and provide housing for those workers. Due to the proposed changes to the federal Temporary Foreign Worker Program, employers who will be required to provide housing in 2027 include:
- Primary harvesting
- Fruit and vegetable processing
- Seafood processing
The questionnaire closed for feedback on June 20, 2025 at 4:00 pm.
Online engagement sessions for settlement services organizations and advocacy organizations
Settlement service organizations and advocacy groups were invited to attend online engagement sessions between May 22 and May 30, 2025.
