Engagement Summary
Organizations and individuals throughout British Columbia shared their thoughts on how the provincial government could improve access to programs and services in French.
The input from this province-wide engagement process helped to identify priorities within B.C.’s francophone community and helping to negotiate a new Official Languages Agreement on French language Services with the federal government as the 2013-2018 agreement expired on March 31, 2018.

Input leads to action:
The feedback received throughout this process will inform the provincial government on what is working well and what more can be done to increase its capacity to support French-speaking British Columbians. The information gathered will help create a new multi-year strategic plan for the Francophone Affairs Program and will help ensure a new agreement with the federal government meets the needs of B.C. Francophones and Francophiles.
