Inclusive Child Care: Professional Learning Needs Survey
What was this engagement about?
Inclusive child care is a key component of a Universal Child Care system in British Columbia. We have already learned a lot through pilots within our Prototype Sites and how to build accessible spaces through the New Spaces Fund. However, we still need a more fulsome understanding of the professional learning requirements of the sector as a whole.
Therefore, we created an anonymous survey for our partners in the child care system: Early Childhood Educators (ECE), ECE Assistants, ECE IT/SNE, Responsible Adults, managers, operators, or owners of child care centres, Aboriginal Supported Child Development (ASCD) and Supported Child Development (SCD) Support Workers/Program Assistants, and ASCD/SCD Consultants.
The survey asked questions around current knowledge, training and professional learning, barriers to accessing these and ways to support ongoing development in inclusive child care. The survey was open until September 13, 2021.
How will my contribution make a difference?
