Child Care in BC Telephone Town Hall
What was this engagement about?
The government of B.C. hosted a series of four telephone town halls for anyone who had questions or feedback about the future of child care in BC. A telephone town hall is similar to a live radio call-in show conducted over the phone.
Minister of State Katrina Chen and Minister for Children and Family Development Katrine Conroy took questions live on the air. These town halls were intended for parents and child care operators who have questions about new changes to child care in B.C.
How did my contribution make a difference?
By participating in the telephone town halls, individuals were able to be part of the conversation about the Province’s effort to improve child care for parents across B.C. Comments and questions made during these town halls will inform the way the government communicates and engages with stakeholders about future initiatives.
