Coastal GasLink Pipeline Project (EAO)
What was this engagement about?
Coastal GasLink Pipeline Ltd. proposed to construct and operate an approximately 650 km long natural gas pipeline from near the community of Groundbirch, approximately 40 km west of Dawson Creek, B.C, to the proposed LNG Canada liquefied natural gas export facility near Kitimat, B.C.
The proposed Project is subject to review under BC’s Environmental Assessment Act. The Environmental Assessment Office (EAO) received draft Application Information Requirements from the Coastal GasLink Pipeline Ltd. and invited comments on this draft.

How did my contribution make a difference?
The intention of seeking public comments was to ensure that all potential effects – environmental, economic, social, heritage and health – that might result from the Project were identified for consideration as part of the assessment process.
