What was this engagement about?
Feedback was welcomed on the Giscome Quarry and Lime Plant Project until January 15, 2016.
Graymont Western Canada Ltd. is proposing to construct and operate a lime quarry and lime processing plant, near Giscome, B.C., approximately 27 kilometres east-northeast of Prince George. How can my contribution make a difference?
The Environmental Assessment Office (EAO) seeks public comments on Giscome’s Application for an environmental assessment certificate to ensure that information and concerns from the public regarding the effects of the project are identified and responded to during the review stage, and taken into consideration for the Ministers’ final decision to issue the Certificate.
Comments were accepted by online form, mail and fax until January 15, 2016. Additionally EAO invited the public to attend an Open House about the environmental assessment process on December 10, 2015. Details about how to submit comments are available at the “Get Involved” link below.
This will be the final public comment period on the environmental assessment for the Project. There will be an additional public comment period held for the provincial permits associated with the Project.
