Engagement Summary
Emergency Management B.C. (EMBC) sought input on modernizing the Emergency Program Act. Proposed additions to the Act included:
- The United Nations Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction
- The United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples
- The draft principles that guide the Province’s relationship with Indigenous Peoples
An Emergency Management Legislation Discussion Paper was made available for public review and feedback.
