Hoffman’s Bluff to Jade Mountain
Engagement Summary
The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure invited feedback from Chase-area residents on the four-laning project planned for the Trans-Canada Highway from Hoffman’s Bluff to Jade Mountain.
An open house was held on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Chase Community Hall, 547 Shuswap Ave., Chase. Ministry staff were on hand to provide information and answer questions. Information presented at the open house is posted online.
The project involved widening approximately 12 kilometres of highway from Hoffman’s Bluff to Jade Mountain, installing a median barrier and improving access to the community.
Accelerating Highway 1 upgrades between Kamloops and the Alberta border is a priority for the ministry and is supported by the Budget 2017 Update, with $273 million over the next three years.
