Invasive Species Regulation
What was this engagement about?
The Government of B.C. reviewed the Controlled Alien Species (CAS) Regulation with the primary intention of adding aquatic invasive species and creating new restrictions in relation to these species.
A Policy Intentions Paper for Consultation (Intentions Paper) described the proposed policy direction related to aquatic invasive species, outlined two other proposed housekeeping amendments, and sought responses and comments from stakeholders and the public on the intentions of the proposed changes.
How did my contribution make a difference?
Citizens were invited to read the intentions paper and submit their feedback. A summary report of comments and submissions received will be compiled by ministry staff and considered by the appropriate decision makers.
