Riverview Heritage Conservation Plan
What was this engagement about?
The Riverview Lands HCP planning process explored existing heritage values and sought to uncover new ones. Beyond identifying what is valued about the Lands, the process sought to understand why built and natural features, and the Lands themselves, are valued. This exploration will ensure that as the HCP is developed values are fully understood and acknowledged for generations to come.
Public engagement happened in the summer of 2012, and subsequently Shared Services BC developed a draft Heritage Conservation Plan (HCP) for the Riverview Lands to ensure the Lands’ heritage values are understood and acknowledged.
How did my contribution make a difference?
Citizens were encouraged to submit comments on the draft Plan. The Final Plan was released on November 27, 2012.
