Ticket Buying Regulation
Engagement Summary
British Columbia’s Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General, Mike Farnworth, has announced that government intends to regulate how tickets for live events are bought and sold, to make it fairer for British Columbians.
Feedback was gathered from British Columbians who have bought, or have tried to buy, tickets for live events, and those who sometimes resell their tickets. The feedback will help determine what changes are needed to improve fairness in the buying and selling of tickets, ensure consumers have the information they need when buying tickets, and provide protections against fraudulent tickets.
