The Province is committed to eliminating MSP premiums within four years. The Province established a task force of experts to provide advice on the best path to eliminate MSP premiums within the government’s current mandate. The MSP Task Force was asked to examine ways to replace the foregone revenue from the elimination of regressive MSP premiums and provide recommendations to the government by March 31, 2018.
From Nov. 2, 2017 to Jan. 31, 2018 the task force provided an opportunity for B.C. citizens, businesses and interested parties to express their views on replacing the forgone revenue from MSP premiums through written submissions.

- More than 1,500 submissions from individuals
- 26 submissions from stakeholder groups
