Recognition Event for 2013 Volunteer Legacy Award Winner Roland Brown



On June 2nd, BC Parks and the Forest Discovery Centre came together in Duncan, BC to celebrate the volunteer efforts of Roland Brown.  Approximately 50 people were in attendance to wRoland-Brown_Legacy Volunteer-Award-Celebration (12)itness many heartfelt tributes highlighting the selfless efforts of this amazing individual.

 Roland has been volunteering in the Cowichan Valley for over 35 years and has touched the lives of countless people.  Roland made significant contributions to Cowichan River and Bright Angel provincial parks, as well as Cowichan Fish and Game Association, Girl Guides, Forest Discovery Centre, Cowichan Valley Regional District, and the community at large. Roland continues to volunteer throughout the community with a smile on his face and a heart as big as the Cowichan Valley itself.
