Last month, one of our Volunteer Partners, Adams River Salmon Society, was recognized at the 11th annual BC Interior Stewardship Workshop receiving the BC Interior Stewardship Award for Ecosystem Excellence.

The Society was nominated for the award by our BC Parks’ staff Wes DeArmond, Area Supervisor. “In order to continue to protect critical habitats, and garner public support for ecosystem protection, we often relay on organized and committed individuals and/or volunteer groups. While providing exemplary public outreach facilities and supporting salmon habitat protection and associated recreational opportunities, the Adams River Salmon Society has gone above and beyond in this regard!”

Congratulations to the Adams River Salmon Society, and thank you for all your contributions to Roderick Haig‐Brown Park.
