Why it’s important to cancel your reservation
Categories:
Unexpected things come up and sometimes you can’t make your reservation.
If you don’t think you can make it to your campsite by 11am the day after your arrival date, please cancel your reservation. By cancelling your reservation, you allow other campers to use a site that otherwise would sit vacant. Cancelling is kind.
If you do not arrive by 11am the day after your arrival date, you will be marked as a ‘No-show’. If you are marked as a ‘No-show’, the park operator will cancel your reservation without any refund and give the unoccupied site to another camper. No-showed reservations can be a reason why campers may see vacant campsites. Vacant campsites are something that frustrates all campers.
You can cancel your reservation online or by calling the call-centre: 1-800-689-9025 (a $5 + tax fee will be charged). Depending on the type of reservation you made, the cancellation policies are different. It is best to cancel your reservation as soon as you know to ensure you maximize your refund. Please note that cancellation policies are different depending on the type of reservation you made. To check our cancellation policies please check the cancellation window page.
If you need to cancel your reservation for an extenuating circumstance, you can see our refund request policies. Please note that to be eligible for a refund you must cancel your reservation before submitting a refund request form. Reservations that are not cancelled will not receive a refund.
Let’s all do our part and cancel reservations we can’t use so that other people can enjoy camping in BC Parks.
