Want to plan a last-minute camping trip? Same-day bookings are available at many campgrounds across B.C., and are possible when a front country park or campground has three things:
- Stable, real-time internet at the campground
- A gatehouse
- Enough staff to support same day arrivals
Some parks may have the same-day booking option during peak season but not shoulder-season. This can be because of limited staffing during the shoulder-season.
Parks that offer same-day bookings:

Most BC Parks have a 48-hour booking window. This means the earliest you can make a reservation is before 8 p.m. two days before your desired arrival date. The 48-hour booking window is needed for parks that do not have stable internet, enough staff, or a gatehouse.
If you are unsure if a park has same-day booking, look for the pop-up window that appears when you press “reserve” on our reservation service.

While we understand the convenience of same-day bookings, we encourage you to book well in advance. This allows plenty of time to make reservations at the campground for your desired dates. If you did not have the chance to book early, make sure to sign up for Notify Me to be alerted when a site matching your search criteria becomes available. There are also many campgrounds that have first come, first served sites throughout the province.
