Do you think that cell phone contracts and monthly bills are difficult to understand? Have you ever had a charge on your cell phone bill that you thought was unfair? What tools do British Columbians need to make informed choices about purchasing a cell phone service?
The BC Government is taking action to improve cell phone contract and billing transparency. Between May 29 and July 5, 2019 (at 4pm) British Columbians had the opportunity to provide their thoughts on cell phone contracts and billing.
The survey responses were compiled into the Cellphone Billing Transparency: What We Heard report which provides key findings and detailed analyses of the survey results.
Government will review the survey results as it considers options to strengthen B.C.’s consumer protection laws and to encourage the federal government to deliver more affordable cellphone options.
