Symposium speaker series
As part of the engagement process, the Province launched a symposium speaker series from November to December 2023 to further enhance co-development of a new, effective system of CYSN services. This speaker series was open to all British Columbians and provided a unique opportunity to foster collaboration and sharing among families, professionals, service providers, and interested parties, engage in inclusive conversations, and share insights, best practices, and research findings through an anti-racism lens.
Each virtual session included a one-hour presentation from a speaker followed by one hour of facilitated dialogue. Speakers shared their key learnings, knowledge, and unique reflections to help inform a provincial CYSN service approach. Participants were able to connect with speakers and engage in facilitated dialogue that will help inform a new provincial CYSN service approach.
